From Courtside Conversations to Lasting Impact: Supporting Net4All at Sheffield Concord

Sometimes, the most meaningful projects begin with something as simple as a conversation.
At the start of 2025, we had already agreed on the charity projects we would be supporting across the year. There was just one slot left, and we knew we wanted it to benefit a youth-focused cause. We were open to ideas, keeping an ear to the ground, hoping something would feel just right.
And then it happened.
Irina Inayat, Director at Penn Accounts, was doing something she had done hundreds of times before: taking her daughter to netball training. On this occasion, she got chatting to another parent – a woman involved with the Sheffield Concord Netball Club. That everyday conversation led to an extraordinary discovery.
Irina learned about Net4All – a dedicated section of the club for girls aged 11–18 and women with Special Educational Needs, Additional Needs, or Intellectual Impairments. A safe, inclusive, empowering space for those who are too often excluded from mainstream sport.
And she learned just how hard it can be to find accessible, supportive sports clubs for young people with disabilities.
That conversation made the decision for us.
We are proud to announce that Penn Group has committed to supporting Sheffield Concord’s Net4All section until 2027. This multi-year sponsorship will help grow the programme, fund events and workshops, and make netball accessible to even more young people across South Yorkshire.
Net4All is led by passionate coaches Jill Newbolt and Helen Thorneloe, and offers regular sessions where no experience is needed, just enthusiasm and desire to be part of a team. These sessions provide not only physical activity, but also friendship, confidence, and joy.
The results speak for themselves.
Net4All squads have:
Competed nationally with one team at the ParaNetball EN Championships in 2019 finishing 8th
From 2020 onwards, have taken two teams coming 2nd and 6th in 2020, 2021 and 2022
Taken 1st and 4th place in 2023, becoming ParaNetball National Champions
Took silver and bronze in 2025 at the EN ParaNetball Championships
Joined as a registered Partner of the Special Olympics
And it doesn’t stop there. With our support, Net4All has booked a taster day in September 2025, inviting SEND pupils from across South Yorkshire to experience netball in a welcoming, inclusive environment. This kind of outreach would not be possible without sponsorship.
We are honoured to play a small part in such an impactful initiative and thrilled to support the work of people like Helen, Jill, and the wider Sheffield Concord Netball Club community.
Want to get involved? If you know someone who might benefit from Net4All, sessions are open and welcoming. To register or find out more, email Helen Thorneloe at helenthorneloe@aol.co.uk.
One conversation, one session, and one player at a time.
