PRESS RELEASE | Chief Technology and Security Officer Appointed


Mr Owen Jones has joined Penn Group as Chief Technology and Security Officer (CTSO), in Penn Tech. In this new role, Mr Jones will be responsible for the group’s technological innovation and security infrastructure, including cyber security.


Mr Owen Jones: “Joining Penn Group of Companies during this exciting time in the group’s growth is a chance for me to contribute to a Group that I believe is best positioned to provide professional services to people in more than one highly regulated field from the end user side to back-office management and ensuring the technological infrastructure and organisational security across all of it. I will be identifying the opportunity for innovation and securing against modern attackers. I’m excited for the opportunity to build on the innovation that Penn Tech has made so far and excited helping to launch the Group to the future of cyber security.”

Over 8 years of experience in end to end delivery for numerous certification and/or compliance programmes; ISO27001, ISO9001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials and PCI DSS. Considerable experience in conducting GAP analyses against; ISO2700X, ISO9001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS, NIST and CIS 20 along with developing the associated road maps for start-ups through to FTSE 100 organisations, in addition to serving as an advisor to numerous companies and organisations.



Owen Jones brings nearly 20 years of experience and expert knowledge to his new role as CTSO at Penn Tech, and across the Penn Group of Companies. Owen Jones is the founder and principal advisor of Loopli which focuses on delivering better Information and Cyber Security faster, cheaper and simpler than any comparable consultancy.

Commenting on the new appointment, Mr Shak Inayat, CEO of the group has said: “We are excited to be working together with Mr Owen Jones, with him managing our technical infrastructure and security across the companies in the group, and leading us to a more secure future. Mr Jones will be working remotely yet alongside our IT team based in Sheffield and programmers in India. This is a key role in ensuring we have joined-up thinking on all matters IT moving forward.
Across the whole world, how we conduct business has changed since the pandemic and it will keep on changing. Change is the only constant. A robust (cyber) security infrastructure is something no one should make shortcuts in.
We are also looking forward to introducing Proteus 3, our flagship case management and back-office system to the highly competitive market and we look forward to the new era across all of the Penn Group of Companies.“
